What are your internet goals for 2009?

This post is part of the Internet Goals 2009 – Group Writing Project on DBT. So bloggers and internet marketers…what are your internet goals and aims for 2009? This is a question that most online citizen must have. I think that having an internet goals list is very useful to keep track of your own progress.

I for instance always have a list of things that I should do in a given time. Why? Simply because it helps to know what is to be done, what remains to be done, and how far have I progress as per my plan of work.
So this time I am doing a list of Internet Goals for 2009. Some will be achieved and some will not be. So here is my list:
- Reach over 500 Subscribers – I reached 94 from 8 but lost some during the migration. I guess it was those on the rss readers. It is now at 74.
- Reach an average of 1000 page views per day by December 2009 – It is currently between 200 to 300 on normal days.
- Keep a steady average number of 25 posts per month
- Do two episode of Blogshot per month
- Do atleast one web user review per week
- Increase my pagerank to 2 by April and to 4 by December 2009
- Write posts both for local and international readers
- Get my alexa rank below 500000 – It reached about to 1 million on blogspot but since I changed address I lost it. It is now at a starting value of about 22 million. Planning to get it to 1 million back before April 2009.
- Create “The Project”! – Thats something I will talk about later!
- Publish atleast 3 niche static website for adsense and clicksor.
- Increase the adsense earning to atlest $3 per day by latest May 2009
Well these are my Internet goals for 2009. I guess even you must have your’s? So what are your internet goals? Did you had any for this current year?

No… that’s a just common quote of Top Gear, which they say at the end of every challenge.
Btw I think you’ve already fulfilled one of your goals:
Good luck the The (secret) Project.

@Inf: Btw you are ready for the blogshot? I send ya the questions
@Kailash: The aim of this blog is not to destroy who ever. I wrote a post about defimedia and its webmaster replied in a very indecent way… so he had to bear the indecent replies too.
Howevr the aim is not to destroy any one. Thats only competition. But I guess the webmaster of defi does not know how to compete.
@Daks: Think Think Think :p

I haven’t thought about the goals of the Web Design Bureau in terms of blog, the only aim is to carry on giving tools to web designers. I might be opening the bureau for guest blogging and tutorials in 2009. Anybody interested?

I’m still in the process of constructing my goals. I have a ecommerce site and blog and I want to continue to build on that. In terms of blogging, I’m not sure what my exact PR, Alexia, etc goals should be but I would like to monetize it. I will have the next couple of weeks to spend on this.

@Carla: Thanks for sharing your views. Before monetizing i will advise you to work on your PR and alexa rank first as many monetising means for bloggers will surely allow you in based on your alexa and pr factors. For example sponsored review can be a good way to make your blog earn but you will get advertisers only if the pr and alexa is fair. Technorati rating is also important.
