Doing Some Self Promotion For Tewinhost As A First Post of 2009

I welcome myself to my blog for my first post of 2009. I have been away since some days and has been only approving comments. So this is my first post of 2009 and I’ll start by doing some self promotion lol. I want to talk and do a little review of my own little web hosting website.
I started selling web hosting as affiliate for ‘a company’ last year and after just one month I had made 6 sale for one year contract and one for dedicated server. I was then proposed by the company for a premium web hosting reseller account. So I had nothing to lose and I accepted. That’s how Tewinhost was born. The domain and the hosting is provided by the hosting organisation for free to me and I can sell their hosting package at the price that I want and even decide on the specifications I want to give to my clients.
Till now Tewinhost is hosting about 300 websites on free hosting and 14 websites on paid hosting. If you want an example of the paid hosting quality, then Island Crisis is an example! There are also 3 professional company website currently being hosted but I wont reveal their name for ethical reasons and the client’s privacy.
Some little details about the hosting plans available? There are three types of hosting:
- Free Hosting
- Premium Hosting – Rs 1789 per year
You can have a look at the website for the free option. I will talk about the paid one. A one year contract is at Rs 1789 per year. With this option you will get a .com or .net or .info or .co.uk for free!
Other specifications:
- Unlimited disk space – Shared server with a maximum of 300 websites per server! So you will never be in a too crowded space!
- 250 Gb Bandwidth per month – A normal blog will be able to tolerate about 6000 to 8000 visits per day with this!
- Squid Cache to make your page load faster
- Free domain name and the domain is registered on our company name and email address so that you should never worry about whois dumb ass!
- Fantastico Installer – Install your wordpress or any other CMS in one click!
- Latest CPanel

@sjdvda: Yea sure let me know if you need a domain or host. Well there is no age to go to a self hosted wordpress lol. I commented on your blog…and had a look. Why not moving to wordpress or blogspot? You’ll have more possibilities and new things to mess with. What I find fascinating with wordpress is the plugins… I like to download those plugins and see the codes…and see how can mess with these. Even blogspot is having a lot of widgets now. You shoulf try these platforms and anytime you need some help concerning blogging dnt hesitate to ask for help.
@Carrot: Rapid leech …. na on the free hosting no. safemode. Yea the free hosting is also for php hosting… If someone go for the paid one then sure he can even host his girlfriend on it hahahaha just kidding.

I think it’s too early for me to switch to a self-hosted website and blog as I’ve been blogging for only 3 months and I just started learning about FTP and all that stuff.

I thought it was a metaphor. Anyway, when will you be able to offer new features? If you match those of negox.com, I can recommend quite a bunch of Belgian people to you. (they are currently getting ripped off by their service provider and are like “omg” when you mention that they could get better and cheaper hosting.)

@Ashesh: Simple. Most affordable price in Mauritius. Rs1800 per year becomes Rs 150 per month. You get a free .com or .net or .info domain for one year registered by us and is available to you as long as you use our service plus you can also add your own registered domain. Unlimited disk space. A max of 300 website per server (unlike others who put upto 1000 per server and hence slwo down your website loading speed if the others are having much traffic!). 250000 bandwidth. I’ll not say the bandwidth is unlimited for this price but a 250000 bandwidth… it can support upto 6000 to 8000 visits per day! i still dream to reach 1000 here lol. And finally if you take it in January its only Rs1600 for the first year. Up to you
