President of Madagascar Marc Ravalomanana has finally step down after a full one month of pressure and diplomatic fight back! The news has been announced since some hours. The opposition and illegal leader Andry Rajoelina has succeeded to make the elected president to step down. European Union is firm on this issue and will be cutting all aid as the country is taken to power by force!

Ravalomanana: “I resign and I give power to a military directorate,”
Ralijaona: “He came to the conclusion this is best for the country. He behaved as a statesman,”
Mr. Rajoelina the one behind this military coup is a 34-year-old former disc jockey. He was the mayor ofAntananarivo and was removed as the mayor by the President recently! The way at which Mr. Rajoelina has acted to get the legal elected President down is being criticized all over the world.

But as usual we will not see the intervention of the supposed great nations here. There is no petrol to gain of course! Till now fights on the island since this CRISIS has killed more than 135 people and affected the already sick economy of the big island.

Stepped down President Mr. Ravalomanana is at an undisclosed location for the time being protected by his remaining loyal Presidential guards while the majority of the military are siding with the opposition.
Mr. Rajoelina says that he has done this because the ex-president was a dictator running Madagascar like a private company with no concern for the poor. What will now happen to Madagascar? Will poverty be on a rising trend or will the situation be better now? Questions arises in minds of those concerned. From the latest information all Mauritians in Madagascar are safe.

The problem in a number of african countries is the issue of “power” where does power lie . This bring to th downfall of a number of african coutries. We are lucky that we are in mauritius where democracy is respectd there is no such stuff of coup detat.
How to change the mentality of African people when it concerns power distribution , They have been moulded in such a way to gain more and more power. Colonizers have left behind destruction and only destruction .
