Everyone is worried about the swine flu and its symptoms! Some are watching the situation of TV while some are watching the swine flu pandemic live in front of their eyes! A question arises however. Is the swine flu a prelude to a total forthcoming world chaos or is it just another flu that will be controlled.
The world is so confused! Nearly 100 death reported at the time that this article is being written. All states of the world are taking precautionary measures. Some using high tech detection methods while others still managing with traditional precautions. The World Health Organisation has already issued a global alert concerning the possiblities or a real world pandemic!
And the worst of it guys and girls… is that some are even mentioning if President Obama of USA could be a possible swine flu carrier!!
President Obama was on a trip to Mexico last week where he met and hug archeologist Felipe Solis. Felipe died the next day with swine flu! Therefore a RUMOR is circulating whether if Obama could have also contributed indirectly and involuntarily to bring the virus to the USA! (Just a rumor… and of course even in case its true, the white house will cover this for diplomatic reasons)
WHAT IS SWINE FLU?

Swine flu is supposed to be a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza virus. In contrary to what some people think, swin flu CANNOT be obtained by eating pork meat!
However human can catch the disease if they are in contact with infected pigs or even with infected humans! So how come the disease of porks in now in human bodies? The simple explanation that I can give based on the time i did biology in HSC (lol) is that infact pigs can get this virus but with also common influenza virus andmany others. Virus tend to evolve and mutate.
Over the years while one type of virus is controlled with vaccins, there are other version of the same virus that can be formed and as such its nearly impossible to have a ready made cure for every viral disease.
SYMPTOMS OF SWINE FLU
The main symptoms of swine flu are: cough, congestion, fever, sore throat, lack of appetite, headaches, nausea, body aches and pains, particularly in the joints, weakness, fatigue, and low levels of energy.
However these symptoms can also be due to common influenza virus and as such anyone with such symptoms must quickly go to the hospital or doctor. The virus is very rapidly propagated by sneezing and coughing or even by touching an infected person and then put the infected hand in mouth or eyes.
SWINE FLU CREATING A WORLD CRISIS?
The swine flu has even made the Mauritian government to take actions at the airports and harbour. All passengers coming to Mauritius are being monitored for swin flu virus. As at now, there are some cases of common influenza due to season’s change at the Mauritian hospitals however no swine flu has been detected.
All the world’s airlines are taking pecautionary measure while trying to keep original flight schedules intact. Japan is even using a thermal camera to monitor all passengers for any sign of fever in airports.
At the time of writing this article, 103 person have died of the swine flu in Mexico, there are 20 confirmed cases of swine infection in the USA, New zealand just confirmed its 9 infection cases just hours ago of writing this post, 6 confirmed cases in Canada, 7 doubtful cases in Spain, One suspected case in both France and Isreal, and two suspected cases in Australia!! Thousands are already being kept in controlled!
The WORST is that there is no vaccine yet for swine flu as experts didn’t predicted the possible break out of the virus!!!
The pandemic does not seem to have any infected cases in Africa yet. Is it just a sign that Africans are neutral to the virus or is it the weak detection system of African countries that are yet to give any reports?!
Coming back to the title of this post, every country for diplomatic reasons of course are trying to keep cool with the situation! Everyone is saying its not yet a pandemic! Its NOT YET! Does it mean that it is a prelude to a bigger world chaos which is coming soon? Or will the situation be kept under control? And the most important question, is the world we live in ready to save us from ANY variation of any virus that can attack humans anytime? What do you think?

World Health Organisation raised the alert level from 3 to 4 today morning (28 April). The alert is 4 on a scale of 6 which basically indicates that we are on the edge of a real pandemic now.
WHO also just announced some minutes ago that targeting passengers with fever or flu symptoms is not an effective way to prevent the propagation of the virus. Mauritius is only making people sign on acceptance forms that they are not ill and as such this measure is not at all good! WHO said that people can carry the virus without exhibiting any symptoms.
Over 75 confirmed cases have been identified + 150 death already!
