I nearly forgot that April is over! How time goes by so freaking fast. So here is the monthly Zinger of IC and we are now at Zinger Up of April 2009. To the newbies here, Zinger Up is just simply the end of month summary of the statistics of Island Crisis and also a way to point out the top commentators and thanking them for staying active during the month. So here we go.

Briefing of April 2009 Statistics

Alexa Rank: 373,266

The alexa rank finally got below 400000 but keep varying between 375000 and 400000 during the month. Hoping to make it below 200000 before July 2009 now. Overall quite satisfy with it.

Google Pagerank: 2/10

Pagerank increased from 1 to 2 during this pagerank update. Although I expected a rise to 3, Google allocated a PR 2 instead. That maybe because most of the backlinks were from PR 1 blogs. Expecting it to be 3 by next update in June as most PR 1 have become PR 2 too now.

Technorati Rank: 62,414

I am very satisfy with the Technorati results. Have managed to make it in the top 100000. My next objective is to make it to the top 10000 now. This may take very much time however.

Rss Subscribers: 115

A good increase in RSS subscribers mostly with the horse racing tips but also with the IC Hard Talks. The disadvantage is that IC is not a niche blog, so RSS subscribers gain is quite slow.

Total Post This Month: 40

Less post than last month mainly because this month I got really busy with university assignments and projects. Month of May will also be the same as there will be exams at university now. Hoping to get back to the 60 posts per month trend by June 2009.

Total Comments This Month: 929

The comments too are less compared to last month’s. This is mainly due to the fact that some of the commentators are stuck with university assignments and tests. In fact this is being reflected inthe whole Mauritian blogsphere. Hoping to get these guys and girls back by June after the UOM Exams. However there have also been some VERY good comments relevant to the subjects this month.

Visitors This Month: 41823 Visits

The maximum I ever got in one month. Infact yesterday’s post boosted up the whole stats else the trend this month was being really slow due to the fact that I had decrease my rate of posting and researching before writing coz of exams.

Busiest Day: Yesterday 30th April – 12889 visitors

Yesterday 30th April was the busiest day with the Facebook phishing message post. Although I didnt expect such a huge boost, it came all of a sudden yesterday afternoon.

Most User Online at one time This Month: 30th April 2009 – 406 Readers

The previous record was about 380 people online at same time I guess in February. So this month’s new record is really encouraging. I was just worried that Super Cache could get corrupted however the server handled the traffic well for a whole peak 6 hours. Hail BH and Tewinhost lol
