I don’t know for the rest of you in here who are presenting your opinions, but I talk from my personal experience. I know Swami Paramananda, his works and I attend the meditation courses. Indeed, he is a well acclaimed author of many books and his undeniable contribution in the world of meditation and spirituality is very recognized. There are many people who benefit from it, in the form of the well-being and upliftment of the individual, the family as well as that of society. So it is normal that people who know the importance of meditation, will encourage others to follow the same path.

Coming to parents, it is true that our parents have given birth to us and an upbringing and they should be given their due respect, but if a proper analysis is made we see that they are human beings like everybody else – then where is the question of worshipping them? They are not even god-like nor enlightened people!!

We take pride in calling ourselves youngsters and talk about revolution – from what angle do we look young?? Where is the revolution? Is it about our way of thinking? We think the same as the previous generations! We are like “old wine in new bottle”!! And when there is talk of change, there is resistance in the garb of the continuation of tradition! Also, when others have the guts to change and bring forth a revolution, we find all sorts of faults in them!! Indeed, revolutionizing the way of living and bringing new ideas is a very courageous endeavour!! It is an avenue in which many people do not dare to venture because it requires much courage and that is why politicians, religious leaders and others have taken advantage of us and given the state of affairs, they will continue to take complete advantage of us!!!

@Tushal, when I was in college, not everyone could afford to buy a 20 pack. I assume these days kids are quite spoilt! Please tell me a pack of 20 is NOT less than Rs100. If it is, we have some big problems.

Concerning minors not buying cigarettes, I think we all know they do buy cigarettes. Most of them can't go directly to 20 packs, but they can start with buying one cigarette, like in the old days and slowly move to 20 packs if they could afford it. Selling them in bigger packs discourages starters. But of course, it is not perfect.

<abbr><em>Yashi’s last blog post..<a href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/yashi-g/~3/vRaI2OMZH24/gulaal-movie-review.html" rel="nofollow">Gulaal: Movie Review</a></abbr></em>

These days parents are giving Rs100 or more to the kids as pocket money. Not all parents but thoe who can gives money without much hesitation.... and believe me I see those college guys walking with their Benson or Dunhill pack of 20 everyday. Normally what many are doign now... one guy buy the pack and then they distribute is at school.

So eliminating the pack of 10 in todays situation is not really helping anything. I think if the government really wanna put a limit on it then cigarrete shld be allowed to be sold only in big supermarkets where it is easier to monitor if a student is buying. A kid will less likely do the effor to go and buy infront of so many people in the supermarket with his uniform.

It shld be denied in shops etc.

Joke: moi si mo vine minist mo fer van cigaret jst dan pharmacy lol. Cmsa seki bizin aste al pharmacy dir "donn moi 20 tube nicotine sil vou plait" rofl :P Ou gagn un ti recu tou... :P
