Blog Trottoir Interviewing Swanand Reddy

Welcome back every-buddies to Blog Trottoir on Island Crisis. Today I have an IC reader named Swanand Reddy for the Trottoir Interview with another set of spicy questions based on our local and also international events and happenings. Ready? Get yourself a good cup of coffee and lets start.
Swanand Reddy is a Computer Science graduate from the University of Mauritius and has been working as secondary school teacher before switching to freelance web developer. He is also an active member of the Know Thyself group around Mauritius. So Swanand ready for the questions? Lets start.

1. Swanand a few days ago the media showed us photos of really poor people trying to find food and things to sell at the wastes depot. Do you think the government is responsible for the ’some’ extreme cases of poverty in Mauritius or is it the result of these own people actions?
As long as there is a greed of filling one pocket like people blind by materialism and stupidities there will be poverty all around the world.

2. Do you think giving Rodrigues its own sub-government and own elections was a good decision and has the small Island benefited in any way from this?
This has created more selfish people to work for Rodrigues and Rodrigues still remains poor!
3. What do you think of the local music when it comes to quality and dedication of the artists?
When music gets on the market it is not music its business. Because music always come out from ur soul and never to become known out of it.

4. There is currently a buzz about legalizing abortion in Mauritius. Do you think it should become legal and WHY?
In the case of abortion it is up to citizen to become as responsible and aware the consequences of murdering a new born baby. In some genuine cases abortion is applicable. It is a question of responsibility and people are not capable of it so it can be more drastic to the society as well.

5. Last question. Lets go to the “revolution land”. I guess you heard about Iran election fraud accusations and the riots occurring everyday. Basij police forces are even killing innocent protesters. One question is if the USA should poke its nose in this issue? And why?
USA is always seeking to become more powerful and it is a very selfish country. So if USA is doing so it is doing in its own interest. If Obama would like to make a difference he should be able to get rid of the selfishness of his country first. So long u could not do any difference.

Thank you Swanand for the answer and your time. Oh coming to the Blog Trottoir mascot, last week he was trying to catch some fish but I guess he got his bone really affected due to osmosis! This time he decided to take advantage of the sun! Well readers so as usual what is your opinion and what are your answers to these questions?

Concern Rodrigues well i think that the island was not ready to work on its own , but in anyway at that devolution of power was kinda the fashion.

First of all, abortion is not murdering a new-born baby, because the baby has not been born yet in legal terms, unless you have another spiritual definition for being born. Whether it’s morally right or not is another question.
I think the further religious beliefs are kept away from the abortion issue, the better.

Music might be a business but it is this business that gives the musician his food.

@Sun, I should get a plugin to put post Rating
Infact I skipped the most “violent” photos and put a crayon one.
As for the USA yes I agree with you. Huh…seem its the first blog trottoir where am agreeing with all the commentators and against the post arguments
I dont want USA to launch another war on Iran…but atleast putting diplomatic pressure and even bans would have been a good way to proceed.

I think abortion should be legalized but with strict stipulations. Many women attempt aborting on their own, with no medical supervision and it’s very risky.
USA should keep out of Iran! Not another intrusion again. If Iranians cannot deal with the crisis then they can alway ask for help.
“When music gets on the market it is not music its business. Because music always come out from ur soul and never to become known out of it.”
WTF?! As long as anything is on the MARKET it’s business. Selling your music doesn’t mean it doesn’t come from the heart…
“As long as there is a greed of filling one pocket like people blind by materialism and stupidities there will be poverty all around the world.” Is that your definition of GOVERNMENT?

.. do you really believe humans are not selfish?
the world would have been a pretty much stagnant place had people not been selfish, its just that… we have to find the proper balance on what the consequences of our selfishness leads the world to that will probably make a difference.
You first act of selfishness itself is when you call yourself “I am $name”
Had there been no selfishness.. i would have been seeing cuckold and sluts walking on the streets
