Saddam Husein Lied About The Nuclear Weapons of Iraq

July 3, 2009 / 9 Comments

Late Iraq dictator Saddam Hussein lied about the Iraq Nuclear Missiles just to look powerful for his neighbors. This is what a recent report on the Washington Post mentioned after an FBI interviewer who was there during his hanging told the press.

saddam hussein

According to the FBI interviewer who talked to Saddam Hussein just before he was hang in December 2006, Saddam told and said loudly about his mass destruction arms just to not appear weak infront of Iran and he even said he dislike Osama Bin Laden and that Iraq had nothing to do with Al Qaeda ever.

Saddam Hussein admitted to the FBI officer that he felt so vulnerable before the fanatic leader of Iran that he was even thinking to get a security agreement with the United States but didn’t move on due to George Bush “definite aim” to play the war game!

Thomas Blanton director of archive of the FBI said there are no possible national security reasons to keeps Saddam’s conversation with the FBI a secret anymore.

About 20 formal interviews took place in 2004, between February 7 and May 1, and these were followed by the casual conversations between May 10 and June 28.

Was hanging Saddam a good decision of the Iraqi (USA powered) government a right one? Would he have been better off for a life imprisonment? In my opinion I see the war in Iraq has on the other side create a passage for the terrorist to do their work better and everyday the USA keep loosing soldiers.

Well the US are leaving Iraq now anyway, and no lives are lost in vain. They weren’t hanging around and having a BBQ in Iraq. They were trying to maintain peace, even if the war was ‘won’ a long time ago.

Of course he lied, because they didn’t find any WMD’s did they?

The Iraquis were always going to lose, with or without Saddam. Hopefully, now they have some kind of structure on which they can build on, although it will take a very long time before they can be stable again.

@Kurt Avish, I don’t know whether it’s more of a mess. It’s like saying, which is a better way to die, by burning or by freezing. It doesn’t matter, you still die a horrible death. If Saddam was still in power, his own people AS WELL AS neighbouring countries would have been in danger. After all, it’s not like he never systematically invaded another country! But atleast now, neighbouring countries are relatively safer. Given time, Iraqi people themselves would be safer.

I hope so. Because at the start of the invasion of US in Iraq I said “woo the US army are rocking…” Ya they were fighting and winning.. But since the war is over the amount of casualties for useless reasons acquired by US troops and other coalition troops is just amazing man.

A soldier died in a fight is a soldier who made the country win.. But dont you think the US and coalition forces are loosing men everyday without actually gaining anything? Well IMO its so.
