Mauritian Adam Khatib Prosecuted For Al Qaeda Link – Terrorism

Adam Khatib, a Mauritian in the UK is being accused of being linked to terrorist group Al Qaeda. The 22-year-old chap is accused of being involved in preparing a failed bomb attack on passenger airplanes along side convicted terrorist Abdulla Ahmed Ali.
Adam Khatib’s father is Mauritian while his mother has a Mauritian/British parentage. The guy is denying his involvement in any terrorist act however there are far too much strong arguments against him. Below are some points which the law is using against him:
- A very recent school French essay he wrote expresses his deep wish to join Al Qaeda and shows much hatred.
- Adam Khatib’s fingerprints were found on a pack of latex gloves seized in the bomb factory of Abdulla Ahmed Ali.
- Adam Khatib’s admitted that he was friend with Abdulla Ahmed Ali.
- He previously expressed hatred for Americans and Jews publicly.
- He was on a trip to Pakistan some time ago together with terrorist Abdulla Ahmed Ali!
Adam Khatib is denying all involvement and says that the essay that he wrote was just for a school assignment and he like to express himself in this way. The trial goes on and we shall soon hear more about it but the mentioning of the word “Mauritian” in this whole scenario is for sure not very good for our country’s reputation.

@nilou, I cannot confirm the first part that you mentioned since I really never heard that. But your other points are true..
Bin laden and even any other terrorist leader will never do these act…they brainwash people…infact they often look for people who have family problem or who have been subject to some injustice and then brainwash them to do these acts.

Terrorists like him represent the pinnacle of hypocrisy..How can someone receive assistance and education from a country and then decide to kill its citizens..If ever you have a problem with Israel or whatever,just leave the UK and go to some countries like Iran where you can criticize jews,americans or UK at your leisure..

@scorps, I cannot force someone opinion lol. She need to do it on her own wish. As for the comment, it is not about any religion. Anyone can have any opinion about anything. As long as a comment does not directly attack a religion, they have their right. As for the case where NAMES are mentioned, it is censored to not create tension.

Exactly the word Mauritian is the story is not good for the image of mtuis and worst is that Mauritius wont be a pleasure. I think you should put a blog post on terrorism.

J’avais publié une enquête le 20 août 2006, retraçant le parcours D’adam Khatib de Maurice en Angletterre en passant par le Pakistan où il a étudié dans une Madrasas…

The image of Muslims and Islam has already been tarnished by some of their own kinds. People think all muslims are the violent ones. But it ’s not the case. Well done for stiring islamophobic sentiments! perhaps you can do an expose on the various Hindu fascist organisations such as, VHP, Shiv Sena, BJP etc? ‘Our own’ VoH has links with the aforementioned. Perhaps out of communal bias and/or fear you choose to ignore the obvious!
