    Hi Pravesh & Cedric
“Jockey Dye was subsequently suspended from riding in races for a period of three weeks and fined Rs.25,000, the commencement of this penalty will be determined following the race meeting of 28 November 2009″. This is a quote from the stipes report clearly mentioning that the commencement of the sentence will be decided after the final official meeting that is the 33rd race meeting. Thus, unfortunately for some people out there, Dye will be riding this week.

Well though I’m not a gr8 fan of Dye myself I do recognize gr8 talents! Im a gr8 fan of Hatt and Tracey Bartley.

If you just type the word Shane Dye on the internet, you will find his facts and all info about his life and career on Wikipedia. I’ve tried the same for Faucon, Hatt and the rest BUT I couldn’t find them on Wikipedia. But I’ve tried same for Dettori, Damien Oliver, Pat Eddery and Ryan Moore, they are all on Wikipedia! Just in case you don’t know about them just see there reference and exploits in Wikipedia!

MO PAS PENSER KI DYE IN ERRED JUST BEKOZ OF BETTING OR WHATSOEVER. FOR ME HE IS ENTHUSIATIC AND EAGER TO MAKE ROUSSET STABLE CHAMPION AND HE WANTS TO BE CHAMPION. HE IS RIDING IN HIS FAVOUR NOT IN FAVOUR OF OTHERS. LI PAN SUSPEND PARSKI LIN TRUKER OU QUOIQUE CE SOIT POU LI BANI A MAURICE!!!! WHY DON’T U SAY THE SAME THING FOR JOCKEYS WHO HAVE CLEARLY ROBBED THE MAURITIAN PUBLIC IN THE NEAR PAST? THESE JOCKEYS SHOULD BE BANNED! PAUL WHITMORE, KELVIN JUPP (ON FOREST FLAG AND WAR COUNCIL WON ON THAT DAY).

QUELQUE 2 QNS DE CELA ALLET STABLE WAS CHAMPION IN FRONT OF FOK STABLE. TI ENA BAN LEKOURS KI TI BIEN MALPROP LORS DE CES DERNIER JOURNEE. CERTES PAS TI ENA MANO A MANO JOCKEY COMME C LE CAS EN CE MOMENT. BUT REMEMBER VERY WELL THAT EACH TIME FOR TI ENA 1 BON PRETENDANT POUR LA VICTOIRE DAN 1 COURSE POU RATRAPE ALLET, CE DERNIER TI P FER DE SORTE DE PAR SO TACTICQUE POU AMERDE LE CHEVAL DE FOK. I REMEMBER ONCE THERE WAS ONE FOR THE ROAD AND FIRE PRACTICE RUNNING VERSUS A TIRED AFRICAN AMBASSADOR. ONE FOR THE ROAD WAS QUICKER TO TAKE THE LEAD THAT DAY BUT AFRICAN AMBASSADOR DID NOT LET ONE FOR THE ROAD RUN HIS RACE IN FRONT. HE ONLY PLACED HIM ON HIS OUTSIDE JUST POU FER ONE FOR THE ROAD TIRE. CA C 1 COURSE KI MO P RAPEL MAIS CA TI CONTINUER JUSKA LA FIN. MEME BAN JOURNAL TI P DIR CA. DONC DAN LE PASSER SI FIN ENA BAN COMPETITION AUSSI MALSAIN! CA DATE PAS D’AUJOURDHUI!

I THINK THAT A CLAIMER WOULD HAVE BEEN IN FAVOR OF JURLSHAN LAST WEEK BUT ON THAT DAY BENJAMEN BOO SEEMED TO BE UNBEATABLE. WE CANNOT JUDGE DYE JUST ON THIS RACE. HE IS THE LEADING JOCKEY, NOT BY CHANCE BUT ALL CREDIT TO HIS ABILITIES. A GOOD HORSEMAN IS ABLE TO RIDE HIS HORSE, RELAXED IN A 3 WIDE POSITION AND WIN THE RACE ALSO. HE IS ABLE TO JUDGE WHEN TO LAUNCH HIS HORSE, THE PACE OF THE RACE ETC… HOW MANY TIMES DYE HAS DONE THAT? I HAVE NOT SEEN THIS SINCE JACOBSON WON IN THE SAME WAY WHEN HE RODE DUKE OF DIXIE. FAUCON LOST RACES THAT HE WON MORE THAN 3 TIMES.

NOTE THAT DYE IS RIDING IN MAURITIUS FOR THE FIRST TIME AND UNLIKE HATT, FIGUEROA.

@Sanjay, I must tell u bravo for your intervention coz that forum was getting mad!!! I’d like to add something..Some people are making a fuss about that Jurlshan ride but what about Hatt”s ride on Pantaneira a few weeks ago before his win!!!!!!!!!!!? what about his ride on Flaminglight where he got fined for slack riding!?
I reckon that one should be objective when critisising. I didn’t want to really outlined jockey portfolio like Shane Dye compared to Hatt, Faucon here, coz it’s uncomparable and u did mentioned it and maybe this time ,some people will understand how lucky we are to be able to have a jockey like him here in our country.
People must not get me wrong, each time i’ve been intervening to defend Shane Dye doesn’t mean that i’m stating that Shane Dye is 100% honest…coz i don’t think so! but i will never accept people comparing him to the jockeys riding here coz Shane Dye rides at another level. Shane Dye is in the Southern Emisphere what Dettori is for European Racing….Mr Pravesh can go and read on the internet! What makes things complex sometimes, is the fact that his horses are exhausted and can’t go on any longer..they all need rest..it’s a small stable compared to Kiki and Fok..leading the championship all this way has been a tremendous performance who’s merits go mainly to Shane Dye for his tactical genious and his mercurial ability to read a race that only the greats are capable. Merits should also go to the humble and nice guy who’s Gilbert Rousset who’s dream was fullfilled when he surprised the horse racing world when signing Shane Dye! He did what he could with the given tools and whatever happens for this last week…he deserves our appreciation and last but not the least…Thanks to him tfor having given the opportunity to Mauritians to see Shane Dye here.
Else , i think Sanjay u said almost everything that needed to be said and thanks for ur objectivity which was well appreciated.

To Mr Pravesh!!!! My friend, , u wanted to go personal…here we are…for your information i’ve been following mauritian horse racing since 1988 ,the year where Wild Amber was reigning over the Champ de Mars then ridden by Karl Neisius. He broke the 1600 mts with 1m37.10! i think that this might be total chinese speaking for u! lol If u want to lear more ..just ask me..If you wanna know how can i know these things and if u think that i’ve got magazine in stock at home then i must have developed an advanced filing system to look for answers!!! Th answer is simple..am a passionate of horse racing since my childhood and more than anything else , horses are my world but u know wat..i don’t bet! For someone to be objective when analysing a situation he must talk his heart but not his through his money! It is all very well known that Mauritius is a Mad betting country and the problem is that nothing has been done in the past to develop what we call a racing culture.. when i read ur comments, saying Shane Dye is not to the same level as Hatt for instance..i tend to laugh. I think i told u about Shane Dye’s achievements compared to Hatt..If you don’t know, Shane Dye regularly rode against Dettorie , Soumillon….if u’d followed horse racing internationally , u would have known perhaps that Shane won everything that could be won in Hong Kong until his bad fall he had a few yrs back.
Shene Dye is Shane Dye, a living legend and will never be equalled . His achivements speaks for himself. Also, i must correct the quote u said Shane Dye said to the stewards..it’s not i was i not here , Mauritius racing would die but what he said is the MTC should be consider himself to him ride here this year….I will only tell u that he said in a nervous moment and everyone can voice out things that are bad sometimes…he his a human being ..but u forgot to outline that he did appologies after that to the stewards! Mr Pravesh , i will only accept objective comments from people who knows what racing is all about and don’t tell me that Jurlshan would have won that race!!!! Had he been on the fence i’d say yes . Last and not the least…that’s the most funny part….Shane Dye is not a good horseman!!!!!!! I laughed out loud to that mate.. Shane Dye is one of the most outspoken jockey in the workd. Ask Gilbert Rousset for more information !!!! Shane never needs riding instructions and his feedback are always impressive and helps his trainer to take remedial actions. So if u understand the term Racing Culture you should try to IMPROVE ur comments which sounds very childish to my likes if ur someone who follows horse racing before i was ..that is 1988!!!!!
    Regards

@pravesh, i don’t think Shane Dye is gonna miss you !!! so if u want to be against Dye, i don’t mind personally but i will not accept that Dye’s international reputation and achievements is overlooked! Be rest assured, i’ve always been cool and will always be! This a discussion forum and everyone of course is welcome to express one’s views and as we say in french.,”du choque des idees jailli la lumiere!!! ..so this makes me say that ur’v got the right to think whatever you want!
The message is…to all those people who was acclaiming Shane Dye as their idol, don’t turn him you back now ..Keep faith in him till the very end !!!!!!!
