Jayen Chellum Shaves His Head In Front of Government House

Jayen Chellum, the chief of ACIM (Association des Consommateurs de l’île Maurice) was arrested today because he decided to shave his head on the street and that’s too in front of the Government House at Port Louis.

Reason for arrest was that he deliberately threw waste on the street. Hold on! Waste means his hair here and not some Coke or Pepsi bottle. To be precise, the group was protesting since even though being a registered organization in Mauritius, ACIM is no more receiving any state funds (as it should normally be) since more than one year.

However for the cops, they had to find a way to stop this protest and as such came up with the funniest but also most ridiculous charges ever to arrest Jayen Chellum and his partner Eddy Chadien. The latter was busted because he performed the work of a barber without holding a proper license. Amazed? No we are talking about shaving Jayen’s head here. That was the barber act.

Both guys were set free after some time today itself. Next time you people decide to protest be wary. If you have a sudden wish to pee, you might have a valid license to do it on the street. Else you might be charged for nurturing the Mauritian soil with minerals without a gardener license.

Ha! Kurt’s site! I was googling for pictures about this incident and stumbled onto your site. Hey! What’s new?

It was hilarious, indeed. Maybe the ACIM should take the protests online and use tags matching the Gov. most used searched keywords.
