Jayen Chellum, the head of ACIM is already at his 8th day of hunger strike. Today afternoon, the SAMU was called as Jayen’s health was getting worse. The worst of all is the response of Mauritians on this issue.

It is funny how so many Mauritians are feeling so sad for Haiti and donating so much and yet over 90% of our unaware population do not even know what is happening to ACIM! Who among you even donated to ACIM? Well, it is maybe because our dear population are so worried about our newly discovered brothers who apparently also speak creole, as mentioned by our Dear Chandra.
Just some precision out of subject, Haiti does not speak the same creole as us! So do not believe all the sc*m you hear on MBC TV! Now back to our support to ACIM. Well for the absolutely naive who might be asking:
Well if someone does not know what is ACIM, then he must be a qualified BEng Idiot with Honors. ACIM is the over 27 year old and among the oldest NGO in Mauritius which fight for consumers right. Yes they are the one who fight for your rights when you get that goddamn rotten mutton meat for dinner. They are the ones who support you when some creative creep want to steal off your consumer rights!
The sad news is that some time ago (last year to be precise) ACIM also supported some truck drivers and somehow caused a traffic jam on that day. As such the Mauritian Government spotted an exquisite excuse to penalize the NGO by suspending its well merited yearly Government Allowance of ONLY Rs700 000 per year!
Well even though it was a small amount, the allowance was helping the group to carry out its work. However our dear Minister Mrs Bapoo has recently made a really outstanding announcement that they will NOT give any allowance to ACIM. Since January 2009 ACIM is only depending on consumer contribution money and donation money.
Some days ago we published an article of Jayen Chellum being arrested for shaving his head at Port Louis. Well they were protesting to ask for their right. Since the last 8 days, Jayen Chellum is undergoing a hunger strike. EIGHT DAYS! – And Mrs Bapoo and Mr Chandra are really busy with “maybe our newly found brothers, the Haitians“.
We don’t know who will be reading this article but we do know many of those concerned with it directly will somehow read the things said here! All we request is to give back the legitimate right of ACIM! Give them there damn yearly allowance.
Major group are already supporting ACIM and Jayen Chellum but we ask where are you Mauritians? Will you keep acting like hypocrite citizens or as some will call you as “Farters”! ACIM is for consumers and consumers are US! Yea you who is sitting on your chair right now and reading. Passive Population!

These self titled Honorable people running this island should be ashamed of themselves. There are people out there who know their private and well hidden past history very well. Being good now does not wash away your past sins.
Come clean, tell every one how you take back handers and grant permissions, tell us about secretly taking family land and selling it to buy positions in politics. The list is endless and the evidence is there all be it well hidden but some of us know how to find it and already have.
Our ancestors were ‘Honorable’ people and you are just shadows. Remember you can only kick a dog so many times before it bites you back.
Support of a just cause can topple the mightiest of giants.

I fully support Jayen for what’s doing. Sadly I am not in Mauritius to be by his side.. Not everyone can have the guts to do what he is doing and I am very proud of him, I just wish more and more Mauritians living in Mauritius give him all the support he needs as he has and will always do the best for the Mauritian population
Well done Jayen and keep being strong!

ACIM has been working for all consumers of Mauritius for so long and its only now that there subsidy of only 700 000 has been removed! On the other hand, the govt will be spending a lot for this coming elections more than what they give as subsidy to ACIM. Why are they removing the subsidy? Is it bkoz ACIM is working too much for the Mauritian people for the good job they are doing. In Mri you do things on the wrong way you are gr8 – you will get subsidy or money you want from govt. Do it the right way to help out the Mauritians the govt will do everything to put “baton dan la roue” !
