A little story dedicated to the Central Water Authority (CWA Mauritius) – If it is 7:30 in the morning of a beautiful and sunny Sunday and you are practicing “la grace matinee” on your bed when you suddenly hear some fools drilling the road to replace the pipes, what would you scream in rage? Bloody bit.ches? Right?
It’s the human nature. If I was you, I would rather say, intelligent freaks, huh?
Question: Why would a team of CWA foremen wish to work on a Sunday? Bingo! Overtime, where they are paid twice to do the same task they normally do during their normal hours. These people have work in overtime when there is emergency and the matter has to be solved as soon as possible. But here there is no sense to that theory! The pipe was an underground leakage and the CWA came to know about it. Hola!
It is funny how they are always late when the leakage is visible, and yet so quick when it is undergroud. Guess they are worried that the Earth Crust can catch a cold?
Ok agreed that they are working hard to repair the pipe network and reducing water leakage and bla bla bla, then what is F%^$ this?
Is this what they are supposed to do? Sleeping in the truck. Are the CWA paying them OVERTIME to sleep? Are we paying them tax money to sleep? And yes, please note, this is public money.
And he even got the guts to rest his feet on the dashboard. That’s not so good when there are cameras all over Mauritius!
Ps: We edited the person’s face so that the poor guy does not become the fallen star of the week in the country. But we hope that the CWA at least learn how its workers are so pro-active! This is one example which is repeatedly seen among many CWA and also Municipality labourers and we didn’t want to tag one single guy for what many others do.

Thats true!!! Despite CWA, a semi-government sector, workers suck it deep! They are among the best paid workers compared to other labourers elsewhere and also the best “MANZER Gr..”!
