Girl Buried Alive in Turkey For Boyfriends!

A 16 year old girl, Medine Memi was buried alive in turkey to prevent her from lodging a complaint about her dad and grandfather but also for having Boy Friends! Turkey, a country with not so many things to be proud of, and one of those countries which still features honor killing, seems to still be in a retarded era with rubbish cultures!

girl buried alive in turkey

Medine Memi, a 16-year-old girl was found buried nearly one month after the crime. Post Morten report says that the girl died due to the presence of a huge amount of soil in her stomach and lungs. The girl was found in a sitting position and was tied.

Apparently she was forced to sit in the deep hole and was then covered with soil. The 16 year old girl tried to lodge a complaint for physical abuse thrice but all 3 times the cops sent her back home. She was physically abused because she had boy friends! We mean friends with boys and not boyfriends!

Finally she wanted to let everyone know about her physical trauma but before she could do it, she was buried alive by her father and grandfather after a family council meeting!

A whole family alive burial ritual! Well not all part of the world is “developed”! Some are still living the male mirage and cultural sh*t age!

These people are not Turkish they are Kurds, honor killings are part of their “culture”. This happened in the region they call as Kurdistan Kurds have their own language and ethnicity, they are not even remotely related to Turks. Some blame Turkey for not education these people, but even animals do not need any kind of education to not to torture and kill their children. These people do not send their children to schools, whenever turkey forces them to EU countries start blaming Turkey for assimilation, they do not know anything about reality. At least only few of these monsters left in rural mountain villages, thanks to Turkey’s policies even they were sometimes harsh.

Yes, “Honor” killing is a Kurdish phenomenon, but it happens only in the most backward, rural and tribal of Kurdish societies . The family actually hold a so- called “council” where they decide that the vicitm must be murdered to preserve the family “honor”. A person is chosen to carry out the murder, usually the eldest male.

If you really want to see something shocking, do a search for “Dua Khalil Aswad” (a kurdish iraqi girl who was stoned to death on live tv). This is a way of life for them

Really don’t mind if you don’t add this comment but I have a little personal advice for you, my friend.

You must respect other cultures and religions, regardless how much you may disagree with them. Remember that this is why God has distributed us into tribes- to celebrate individual and cultural differences.

I’m not sure if I am the only mature person reading this blog (I’m almost certain I’m not) but it does seem offensive at times. Remember you are catering to a wide audience not just 16-year olds who jump to conclusions to judge and critic every thing and person that they come across.

You have every right to disagree with me. For the record, I’m a journalist, former editor of magazines and newsletters, a communications expert, and an English Language teacher with well over 20 years of experience.

I agree with your opinion. Maybe my point here was a bit confusing due to the criticism. By saying that the culture is retarded, I meant about honor killing (and also about not giving basic human right to women in some part of the world) which is in fact inhuman from a logical person point of view (no matter which religion the person follows). A person need to have the right to decide about her/his life and not force and even killed because of not abiding to an inhuman part of her/his culture.

If a person committed adultery or a serious crime, there should be the law to handle that.

This is not to target any particular religion or but rather about the way some culture adopts. Honor killing is present in other religions too and no matter where it is, it is a ridiculous practice to still being maintained in 2010.

Of course this is my personal opinion. Other people’s opinion can differ.

Not quite. We do not have to respect any culture, particularly a culture where burying a teenage girl alive is an “honor”. Same goes for religion- respect extends only to the “right to” believe in whatever you want, provided it does not impose upon the rights of others. Respect is not something that can be imposed!

These people are not Turkish they are Kurds, honor killings are part of their “culture”. Altan

Actually these Kurds are Turkish, living in the South East of Turkey, 80% of which are Sunni Muslim. So called “honor” killings are happening right across the Muslim world, denial is not an option.
