Three quarter of people of the world think that the world will not end in 2012 if we have to believe our little survey. Even with all the buzz and gossips, only 12% of our readers from around the world think that the world will actually end in 2012 like Nostradamus predicted it.

If you are a regular reader, then you must know about the poll we placed here since the 8th of February 2010. The question asked was: Will the world end in 2012 as Nostradamus predicted it? – Results below!

Even though this survey is not extensive, we noticed from the log and knowing about our readers, that the votes were from people across different countries, of different age but also from different background. As we can see, 56% of the 708 voters think that 2012 is an absolute nonsense!
19% think that the world as we know it will end before 2100, most probably by our own actions! 13% are somehow confused while only 12% are confident that Nostradamus predicted 2012 as it will happen! We are leaving the poll open for more votes and see if people’s opinion change as the months go on. If you have not voted yet, you can do so below.

What do you think? The world will end in 2012? The world as we know it will end? Or it’s pure rubbish?! If you missed our previous article about 2012, here it is: Why the world will not end in 2012.

It was the Maya Civilization who predicted the end of the world in 2012. It was not Nostradamus.

The Mayans didn’t think the world would end. Their calendar begins a new cycle in 2012. It is the longest of a number of cycles in their calendar at about a 400 year period. It’s a great celabration, not the end of the world. As for Nostradamus, have you ever heard the people who interpret his prophesies? “if you rearange the letters like this, remove the h and replace it with an e…” He wrote hundreds of “prophesies” that were incredibly vaigue and nonsensical, if you allow manipulations and interpretations as liberal as the people interpreting his prophesies frequently use, you can make him predict anything. At the time, there were “strong” interpretations of his prophesies that both sides would win WWII, but hey, one of them was right!

@cc, noooooo, every certain amount of years, i cant remember but is in thousands im pretty sure, the earths magnetic poles flip, so if a solar flare happens then at a certain time, then we are either killed by the flare or the earth doin some weird shit and my guess is if it hits while the poles flip then it will just take the magnetic force with it, either dragging us along or stopping the earth rotating
Either way its 50/50 chance we die
