Labour Party MSM and PMXD Political Alliance Confirmed

March 31, 2010 / 11 Comments

Alliance bleu-blanc-rouge! After all the “fifi” like gossips and drama between the Prime Minister and Paul Berenger, the political and electoral alliance between Mauritius Labour Party, MSM and PMSD (accompanied by the little adds-on fellows) is confirmed.

The General Election 2010 in Mauritius approaches and since the past 3 to 4 weeks, there have been rumors about an alliance between Alliance Social and the MMM. An opinion poll was even placed in the sidebar of Island Crisis since last week to ask you about your opinion.

[poll id="49"]

As expected, most people knew that it was all about a pony drama. However some really naive people really believed that Navin Ramgoolam was serious about an alliance with the MMM. You want the whole scenario in a few words? Here…

Paul Berenger and the MMM were trapped in a plot and they are now being called “Les Ridicules”!

It was weird to see Mr Paul Berenger reaction however. As a long time politician many expected him to be wary of honey pots like the one which Alliance Social gave him to taste…and fart! On the side of Navin Ramgoolam, even though it is a really unfair political strategy, it was a a wise one. Why?

Because the fact is that many of those independent people who would have voted for the MMM now think that the MMM “ti p just rod un bout pu gagn election a tou prix”.

Destroying part of an enemy base before the war begins is indeed a wise strategy but also gives a good advantage to the wiser side. The PMSD will be giving a press conference today at 17.30 to talk about this alliance and Alliance Social will on their side be giving another press meeting at about 19:00 to announce the alliance.

We the young generations, must dissociate ourselves from politics and not vote. Sa nou la mode aster. We don’t need a buffon or gorilla to head the country, we can do it ourselves.

The MMM through his leader PRB has lost ground definitely with the conclusion of this alliance. For an experienced politician like PRB he should have known the intentions of the Labour Party as from the beginning of the negotiations. I think that the MMM is not a democratic party where the voices of others are not heard. If u raise ur voice there for good, le MMM vous passe dans un board disciplinaire.
