Date of Mauritius General Election 2010

The date of the General Election 2010 in Mauritius is known. The Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam today announced the upcoming General Election 2010 for the 5th of May. The official alliance between the Alliance Social, MSM and PMSD, a.k.a Alliance Bleu Blanc Rouge, was also announced today.

The apparent slogan for the upcoming election is Unité, Égalité, Modernité. Hopefully he didn’t say Bizin Changement again :P – Only 35 days before the general election and this is somehow like a slap on the %^* of the opposition party who was trying to negotiate an alliance with Alliance Social.

Will the MMM and its allies be able to gather its forces and apply its electoral strategies (if it has any) in only 35 days? That’s the question. The Electoral mood is on and the events of the coming 35 days are expected to be hot.

By the way tomorrow is April Fool day. Do you think this announcement on the eve of April Fool day is a little taunt to Paul Berenger? This is what many people think.

well for teachers working in colleges in which the election will take place they will have three to five days rest, and concerning the student they will miss on week of school. i think Navin should have think twice before deciding the date.

a second thing that pop up in my mind is that he said that election will be after the one which will be help in england well its before.

well i think thr bleu blanc rouge will win 57 – 3, BUT THE NEXT QUESTION IS WILL WE HAVE AN OPPOSION IN THE ASSEMBLY?????

are you not afraid that they become dictators if there is no opposition?????

well hope people in the like of yaya parouty, soudan will have tickets, we need people who will work for the country.
