KFC Quatre Bornes (Mauritius) is the worst fast food service ever among all the KFC outlets and we advise all of you to AVOID it until the management take some action about its very poor quality of service. Read on to know more why we are saying this!
Forget the picture above for now and let me first share the bad experience at KFC Quatre Bornes. As you know, KFC Quatre Bornes has been relooked and I must agree that the new look is much better and is also very welcoming. However it seems that the staffs at KFC Quatre Bornes have not moved along with the improvement and are as such the worst customer service of all the KFC’s in Plaine Williems!
Yesterday, I went to buy some KFC for dinner. The receipt is as shown below so no need to tell you what I was going to buy. I was however surprised by the size of the crispy strips! If you are a KFC eater then you must know that KFC crispy strips have at least a standard size.
We pay Rs18 per KFC crispy strip and we at least expect a reasonable sized one. I will not say that all KFC outlets are bad, because at KFC shoprite I am served well but KFC Quatre Bornes is a FAIL! I bought 5 crispy strips yesterday and while having a look at them I noticed that 3 of these crispy strips were smaller than my small finger! Yea! It was as if they gave me some left over parts of the crispy strips!
I went to tell the sale person that he gave me less than what I bought. He checked it and told me “No there’s 5 in there!”. I told him to cancel it or change these as I am not satisfied. He called his supervisor (a guy with the white shirt) and I explained that the size of those crispy strips were not ok. He even agreed with me but told me that he can’t do anything about it! Well if he can’t do anything, even I can’t do anything. So I canceled the crispy strips and took away my streetwise meal and hot wings to go to Debonnairs to get a pizza!
That was the first problem at KFC Quatre Bornes. Now coming to the 2nd one, it is about size again! Look at the picture above. I bought a zinger cheese there last Saturday. It was only when I was already in the bus and starting to eat that I had a look. The zinger itself was like a poor chick! Zingers are normally larger than the bread itself but this one looks like KFC is being poor on chicken!
As such I feel it is a complete waste of money to keep buying KFC there and is to be avoided at all cost. There are far much eating options in Quatre Bornes. So unless KFC takes some action, I am not going there and going to advise everyone to avoid it too!

Interesting comments. I am a food science student and it’s really great to find that people do care about the food they eat. Not the health aspect of it though but some of you do know what to expect/ demand when you pay for stuff.
Incidentally, i have to agree with most of you. The service is rather slow at KFC 4B but i think it depends on who the cashier is. Some are pretty fast and my friends and i usually stand in the line the latter serve.
I’ve been to almost all KFC outlets throughout the island and i cannot say that 4B is the worst. Perhaps in terms of the product yes (though i’ve never really faced such problems) but with respect to the service, i have to say that some of those cashiers are quite unpleasant.
Nevertheless, KFC forms such a huge part of our fast food retail outlets that i believe its quite difficult to boycott them.

Write a mail to their customer service and they will take action. I has other problems before the relooking and the management took action v/s the person who had served me.

Hi, Nice to read this article. Even i had a same issue with the KFC outlet in hyderabad, india. I ordered for kfc zinger in one of the famous outlet here in our city. To my surprise, the size of the chicken is much much smaller than the bread. The bread is so thick and yukky……i have to search for the chicken inside the bun. Such a worst burger that i never expected that too from KFC. I used to have zinger burger when i was in Seoul, Korea almost every day where the size of the burger is large and the chicken also comparatively good. I used to love it…….it was some years ago. But now KFC is not upto the mark….I guess they serve according to the city
Better we eat something outside rather than KFC…..its expensive and not worth at all.

first of all ! fast food is not good for health! people are talking abt KFC as if its there home kitchen…. guy be practical…. i rather eat some friuts than destroying disgestive system…. well i understand once u can eat at KFC just for the peasure of ur mouth…..and having some fun wiz friends…… stop fighting abt was fast food……. in some countries they dont even have one meal per day….dying from starvation

Yes i totally agree with you. As a customer, we all have a full right to choose which one we need. If U not happy with the strips you had, you can always change it for another size. but remember these strips came that way, in a pack some may eb big and some may be small.. At the end of the daythey job is to sell them and if they think there are lots of small one, am sure they can always for eg put 4 big one and 2 small one (varies them) if in that case the customer still not happy then then customer can ask for all of them to be that size. but remember it not fair for other customer as well.
Next time you go there, first thing you do is tell them you want 5 strips but big one.. if the person on the counter talks to you in a different manner, “SLAP” him/her for me. you know what , they think they have the priviledge to do anything they want to a customer. I have done it already and i will do it again.
