Leonardo Dicaprio, needs no introduction. Even though I am not a particular fan of him, I do appreciate almost all the movies of this actor and Inception being the latest masterpiece. Here is a compiled list of the Top 10 Leonardo Dicaprio movies ever and of course it’s a tentative one. Do let us know about your opinion.
The Inception (2010)

The sheer brilliance of the plot obscured most of the performances. But Leonardo shines as Cobb amid all the special effects, especially in those heart thumping moments where he emotes the grief of his lost wife.
The performance surely pumps him for an Oscar nomination for the year.
Shutter Island (2010)

Once again, DiCaprio stands out in a beautifully woven edge of the seat thriller script. The way he portrays the confident cop and then turning into a self doubting man bordering on peripheral mania is nothing short of a goosebump inducing affair. He holds the movie all through riveting those eyeballs.
The Departed (2006)

Martin Scorcese has always concoted intelligent plots and Leonardo is slowly gaining the place of his special ingredient/seasoning. The slick crime drama rates among the best performances of the actor. One of the roles where the audience get to see a harder and edgier side of him, nailing the troubled cop role to perfection.
Titanic (1997)

This is what made everyone sit up and notice the young lad with long flicks and boyish charm who could weave magic on screen. The performance earned him an Oscar nomination. The movie as well his acting have gone down in the history of movies as a mega success. One of my all time favorite movie and specially this posture above!
Blood Diamond (2006)

This movie was released in the same year as The Departed. His performnace here, as an ex-mercenary in a quest to recover a pink diamond which can transform life, once again establishes him as an actor who can successfully pull off “gritty” and “strong” characters with an effortless ease.
What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)

Long before Titanic, when he played Artie, the younger mentally challanged brother to Johnny Depp. He plays the part with sharp and desperate intensity and in no way loses ground even in presence of a seasoned Depp. This performance hinted at his precocious talent, which shaped up brilliantly in future.
Aviator (2004)

One of the performances that reiterate his versatility as an actor. Here he plays a man displaying shades of a confident casanova to a panick stricken man who touches the peak of insanity with collecting his own urine while staying naked in a room with a projector and finally emerging as the confident man who takes on the Senator in public. Scorcese taps the best in DiCaprio once again.
Catch Me If You Can (2002)

Leonardo puts up a charismatic performance as Abigail Jr in the Steven Speilberg movie. As a con- man he is comepletely enchanting and subtle, to an extent that he threatens to upstage Tom Hanks!
This Boy’s Life (1993)

Sharing screen space with someone like Robert DeNiro can be a daunting task. However, Leonardo almost steals the thunder here as the young boy who turns into a man after facing physical, emotional, mental abuse at the hands of his step father. His portryal of a traumatic teen is commendable.
Marvins Room (1996)

Again one of his older movies, yet a performance worth mentioning. Leonardo plays the mentally disturbed son to Meryl Streep who has been sent to a mental asylum for setting his mother’s house to fire. True to his acting skills, he holds his ground and manages to get more than just a noteworthy mention in the same frame as Streep.
