Depi unpe le temp mo pe tan bku complaint lor myT de Mauritius Telecom…non…mo pe rod dir ORANGE! Unta dimoun pe plaigne pareil coment zot ti p plaigne avec le vieu NOMAD! Ena p dir pa pe gagne bon conektion. Ena p dir ena website pa p load. Ena p dir depi MT in van so *sozz* ar ORANGE nou nepli gagne bon zafer…etc. Alor mone decide pou ballie le web unpe et poste tou link ki mone truvu lor le fameux MyT ORANGE SCAMS!!

Pou comense pou donne zot un deux ti problem ki mo ban camarad em in gagne ar MyT ORANGE!

1. Wikipedia pa lai load
2. Rapidshare et MyT enemy!
3. Ena cout surtou lor peak hours, mem Google tarde pu ouvert.
4. Service customer care? Pa coze!

Pa zist dan maurice ki livebox la kk net…mai mem partou cot orange exist! Orange is the worldwide scam that our dear MT has adopted!!! Ask anyone in the world about ORANGE and the complaints will not be less!

In the UK if you have a contract mobile phone with Orange you get offered FREE broadband with orange ( up to 8MB)

# 10GB usage allowance

and I think you probably get everything you pay for…. it is bad news ANYWHERE if you have a limited number of service providers to choose from……

MT is a complete CRAP and thet sucks! I applied for a 512 connection 2 weeks back and everything is clear on my application form that it is 512, but when i connect it gives 248Kbps only! I called the customerservice, who told me they will look into the matter since on their system it says i applied for 256Kb. I was asked to sent an email to contacts@orange.net or sth, and i got a reply one week later asking me to make the compalin in the shop where i made the application. I called again, and was told that the system have already been upgraded, so to check it once i get home.. With no surprise, the connection is still on 256K! I called again, and again am told to report it in the shop where i made the complain!! CRAP CRAP CRAP service for the price we are paying!! I was in UK for 4 years, and was using an 8Mbps connection (for which i was paying only about Rs 800) and just before coming back to Mu i upgraded myself on Virgin’s 50Mbps connection for the simple price of about Rs 1500.. A MIRAGE connection speed for Mauritius Telecom to achieve..

  @Arvin: Its a real shame really. When the country pretend to be a cyber island and we are still like sucking to get a decent connection. If we need decent ones we have to pay like a fortune for it per month. Thats really bad indeed when we compare to other countries. We are paying the debt of the french lol.

Seems that you all are having problems at opening sites on MyT. I’ve experienced that too. My own site refused to load.

I narrowed it down to a DNS problem. I guess Orange’s DNS servers are pretty crappy.

You can do something here. Switch to OpenDNS or another free DNS provider. It’s worth it.

Since I switched, I never got problems like “page cannot be found” with valid pages. Try it folks… It’s free! I blogged about that sometime back.

To Yashvin: yea yr rite abt getting value for money. Well most adsl users use it for downloading large files such as game and songs tousa… i dnt use myT coz simply pena la ligne telephone dan coin mountain troi mamel cot mo rester lol

but after tou sa ban complaint la…i dnt think am goona apply to them lol.

by the nomad works fine here…maybe nomad is meant for places like my house …amids the woods lol.

but, a large num of internet users download a lot, and the ISP should ensure that they provide a value for money service!
