WEATHER NEWS FOR MAURITIUS ISSUED AT 16H25 ON TUESDAY 18 JUNE 2013.

GENERAL SITUATION:
THE ANTI-CYCLONE IS APPROACHING OUR REGION FROM THE SOUTH WEST AND
WILL CAUSE A WINDY AND COLD WEATHER.

FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS:
CLOUDY PERIODS TONIGHT WITH A FEW SHOWERS OVER THE HIGH GROUNDS, TO
THE EAST AND SOUTH OF THE ISLAND.
THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE AROUND 14 DEGREES CELSIUS OVER THE
CENTRAL PLATEAU AND BETWEEN 16 AND 20 DEGREES CELSIUS ELSEWHERE.
TOMORROW MORNING THE WEATHER WILL BE PARTLY CLOUDY OVER THE
CENTRAL PLATEAU AND THE WINDWRAD SLOPES WITH ISOLATED SHOWERS.
SUNNY ELSEWHERE.
THE SHOWERS WILL BE MORE FREQUENT IN THE AFTERNOON.
THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE BELOW THE SEASONAL MEAN WITH
AROUND 20 DEGREES CELSIUS OVER THE CENTRAL PLATEAU AND BETWEEN 23
AND 26 DEGREES CELSIUS ALONG THE COASTAL REGIONS.

THE WIND WILL BLOW FROM THE SOUTH-EAST 20 TO 25 KM/H, STRENGTHENING
GRADUALLY WITH GUSTS OF THE ORDER OF 60 KM/H.

SEA ROUGH BEYOND THE REEFS WITH SOUTHERLY SWELLS.
THE PUBLIC IS ADVISED NOT TO VENTURE IN THE OPEN SEAS AS WELL AS IN THE
WESTERN AND SOUTHERN LAGOONS.

HIGH TIDES: 21H05 AND TOMORROW 10H08.
LOW TIDES: TOMORROW 03H58 AND 15H31.

SUNRISE: 06H44.
SUNSET : 17H38.

THE ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE AT 16H00: 1017 HECTOPASCALS.
